fantastic ship

Sail Date: October 22, 2011

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

ship was an architectural marvel. the 'neighborhoods' were very impressive; the open air feeling even on the lower decks was great.
Getting on and off the ship in Florida was the easiest we've ever experienced, especially given the size of the ship and the amount of people -- 5500+ --

Pros: the walking areas-- i.e., can walk into different neighborhoods and get away from the heat and the crowd

Cons: the room was smaller than we've experienced on other RCCL ships; excessive charges for everything--i.e., water and alcohol; gratuities even on purchased/store items

Recommends Oasis of the Seas? Yes!

Service and Staff
best staff we've encountered on any of our ships in the past
Cabin / Stateroom
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
dining room food was average; specialty restaurants were excellent and reasonably priced;
Nassau, Bahamas
they didn't stay long enough to see anything unless you got off very early
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
liked the wharf and the shops they provided. however, RCCL should have warned passengers that all liquids had to be coonsumed before they entered the security line. Bottles of water had to be trashed before you got on the ship
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
nice that they had taxi's waiting with a fixed price to go to town
