It's a big ship

Sail Date: March 26, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

The service is great. The people are so friendly and the cruise line obviously does a lot of training. Very, very impressive.

The ship itself is nice and easy to get around. But, is too large (holds too many people) for eating, entertainment (shows), pool, and food quality is not as good as the smaller cruise ships.

Pros: service was terrific

Cons: there are too many people on the ship for the infrastructure (eating, pool, entertainment, food quality)

Recommends Oasis of the Seas? No.

Ship Quality
nice layout. Clean. But not enough seating around pool or public areas for the number of people on the ship.
Food and Dining
The food quality is good but not as good as Royal Caribbean's other ships that are smaller.
Cabin / Stateroom
Nice that everyone gets a balcony!
Nice entertainment but too few seats. And, there isn't enough room between the seats to get in and out of your seat.
Service and Staff
Outstanding! Everyone is so nice and helpful. What a wonderful team!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Went over to Jost Van Dyke and it was pretty cool! Nice boat ride over with a stop for snorkling - which is great. It looks like a longer boat ride / excursion than it is.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
If you have time - the history and current affairs of this island is interesting. Please try to go on the Sailing/racing if you can. It is fun.
Nassau, Bahamas
This is not a great port of call. There isn't much time to go into the city if you do anything/ The glass bottom boat was nice but not great (the area that it goes to is not that colorful). The actual port area is the typical tourist trap -
Don't Miss: Your departure.
