Main Dining Room on Oasis of the Seas

Great food and service by crew members!

Everything I had was very good and there was a decent variety every night. The desserts were fantastic!! Dining staff was very attentive and very nice. Ate in dining room 4 every night. We also had the key and ate our welcome lunch after boarding that was sooooo good.

Not good for Solo Passengers, no sharing table Ate alone and it was arguing every night Awefull and talking to supervisers and put aside etc

We only spent two separated nights at the main dining on deck 3. The vegetation options were limited and my friend order a cheese plate, garden salad and for the entree eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant was comically smaller than a hockey puck. I had a Caesar salad, shrimp potato salad and for my entree I had the roasted chicken and they had a lobster night. The chicken was extremely dry. I found myself smearing butter on it for moisture. The lobster was pretty good. For dessert I attempted the sugar free pineapple cake. Was not good for me. Others may enjoy it. At the conclusion of our meal, we politely provided feedback about the vegetarian options and were informed there was a vegan menu we should have been presented with. The head waiter, Cheryl went out of her way to ensure our second visit went well We called her 10 minutes before arriving as she requested. She had the chef prepare a delicious tofu and veggie stir fry for my friend as well as presented us with the vegan menu. We tried the tempura veggies and salads again. My friend tried the veggie mousakka for dinner. Overall it was good. I gave the spiced tuna and New York strip a try. It was cold when it arrived but I was starving and didn’t want to wait for new dishes. My personal opinion is the main dining room has great service but so so food.

5 stars for service and the food. Both were outstanding on the one night that I ate there. Now I give 3 stars to the guests eating in the restaurant. I cruise Royal Caribbean because they have a sort of decorum about them. You are encouraged to dress smart casual for dinner, which I would hope dressing for dinner means that you leave your pool deck manners in your cabin. The MDR was very loud, roudy, tank tops, flip flops, shorts everywhere. I'm dressed in a polo, Slacks, and shoes and I felt out of place. Ok I get it that smart casual is not a requirement, and I may be a little old school. But I should be able to tell the difference between the MDR and Windjammer when I'm having dinner. Ok, that's my 2 cents worth.

Only ate there two nights later in the cruise. Assistant waiter barely said hi and gave us our water and never saw her again. We had brought our own drinks from the bar and they never asked if we wanted another drink. Second night they remembered our names and were very nice. Food was fine. We had done the ultimate dining package. Probably wouldn’t do that again as the food all really tastes the same. You’re paying more for the experience and intimacy than you are the food.

Good food, great service. Rakesh, who we met last year, was awesome as before. Tugut and Gerald, our waitstaff for this cruise were great and eager to please.

Huge elegant venue. Wait staff worked like crazy keeping everyone served. They hustled. Food was very good, but because of the number of people, quality was stretched.
