The crew of the Norwegian Wind was outstanding in its teamwork and cheerful,
helpful attitude. The food overall was outstanding at all of the eating venues, not
only at the specialty restaurants. La Tratoria restaurant was superb in both the
quality of the food and in the service and in the room's lovely tiered levels with
floor to ceiling windows on 3 sides. Le Bistro was the specialty restaurant charging an extra fee, and it is well worth trying at least once (we went twice), for both the excellent food as well as the marvelous service. The entertainment was exceptionally good, particularly the stage productions, hosted by the best cruise director I have seen in 20 cruises; he has infectious and gracious energy and the professionalism of the performers in the musical extravaganzas--especially the aerialists in the Cirque De Soleil-type shows--was truly impressive. The show that the crew puts on for the guests was unforgettable for its warmth and for the genuine talent and heart of the crew. The housekeeping staff was extremely capable and the cabins are nicely
furnished and efficiently designed for comfort -- each cabin has duvet covers on the beds. The ship is 50,000 tons--small by today's mega-ship standards, but it is very pretty and well-maintained. This is its last season plying this Hawaiian cruise market; it will be sent to the Orient in spring of 2007.
