This was our first cruise. We bought an upgrade to a room on the owner's suite level, which was the only reason we enjoyed our cruise. Our butlers and cabin stewards were great and our consierge was attentive.

Food and Dining

With a few exceptions, it was cafeteria food. The buffets were institutional and the only food available after dinner was mediocre pizza, unless you were in the room we were in, in which case there was a limited menu you could from.

Service and Staff

Our butlers, stewards and consierge rocked! If we wanted something, they would do their level best to get it for us. Our butler got us eggs benedict when it wasn't on the menu and our cabin steward left us with towel origami every night.

Ship Quality

I think we had no problem with the layout since we were on the 11th deck and close to everything.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our room was the highlight of our trip. We had space to sprawl and a balcony to watch to scenery. The decor was standard hotel decor.

We only had 4 hours in the city, so not enough time to fully explore. Lots of jewelery and souvenier shops.
Don't Miss: Creek Street.

Not enough time in this port. We took a tour that took us to all the stops, but due to time restrictions (we had 5 hours in port), we only 40 minutes at the glacier and we wanted much more time. Because we left early, we sailed a little of the Tracy Arm, so it was a fair trade.
Don't Miss: Mendenhall Glacier

Too much time at this port. We did the pass by van, went back to the boat for lunch, visited every store and still had 3 hours until we had to be back at the boat.
Don't Miss: Summit Pass, but not on the train; the local bus vendors are a better value

Pros: The cabin staff

Cons: The food
