We went on the Norwegian Wind a year ago. It has taken me this long to find somewhere to warn people about this terrible cruise line. We embarked out of Miami, on time. However, getting our correct room took a long time and we never got it. We booked a room with a picture window, in the middle of the ship, to minimize seasickness, on the promenade deck. We got a room in the very front of the ship with two small holes to look out of on the deck under the promenade. (for three thousand dollars). Every morning we were awakened by joggers pounding over our heads and felt every movement of the ship, so I was sick for the entire vacation. The apology for this was not our original room, but capers and a bottle of terrible champagne. Our seating for dinner was never recorded and we were treated very rudely by the maitre'd and dining staff. The food was bad, not very many choices. Entertainment was not to be found. I lost a couple pounds on this trip because food was not abundant throughout the day and when it was offered it looked as though it was from the day before. We dropped anchor off shore in the Caymans at 8 in the morning, pushed through the stampede to get tickets for the tenders, got on the island at 11 and had to get back on the ship by 2. No one informed us that Belize offered nothing to do on your own and excursions should be purchased so we had to sit at a crummy hotel all day because all of the excursions were sold out. Our luggage was thrown out in the hallway like trash when we boarded and we had to pick through it to find it. We got sick from the Beef Wellington. I wrote three letters to this company and got nothing but excuses from them and no retribution. I will never sail on NCL again and hope whoever reads this takes it as a's money down the drain. Taking kids on this ship would have been more of a nightmare...
