Terrible Cruise

Sail Date: March 01, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

This was our "Dream Vacation" and the cruise was terrible. Entertainment was lousy, Denny the Cruise Director wouldn't speak to you if you saw him on the deck same with Allison the port and shopping director. Lousy personalities for their type of positions. Our room was very clean and OK even though we did smell pee quite often. Dinner selections had alot to be desired. Presentation was nice but not very filling. We were still hungry when we left. Freestyling stinks. One morning we got up at 9:45 am and trying to find someplace to eat breakfast was impossible except for the Pizzaria up by the pool having to stand and eat because there was no place to sit. This will be our only and last cruise with NCL. VERY DISSATISFIED. Not only did we not like the cruise we both got deathly sick that morning we got off the ship. I have never had to use the Barf bag on a plane before but I even have that under my belt now thanks to NCL. We were sick for 6 days after we got home.

Pros: Being able to see Hawaii and Fanning Island, meeting June the Hawaiian Ambassador

Cons: Everything about the ship and staff except our room stewards.

Recommends Norwegian Wind (RETIRED) 141? No.

Ship Quality
Ship was laid out very different. You couldn't take the elevators to the top floor if you were at one end of the boat. Terrible on rough waters.
Food and Dining
I order a lobster one night and got a half of a tail. No shrimp cocktail. Terrible!
Cabin / Stateroom
Room was clean everyday.
Service and Staff
Melvin was exceptional at the Champs Bar on the top Deck.
The Emerald City Band was good but that was it for the entertainment.
