Hawiian Cruise

Sail Date: December 30, 2006

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

I liked the staterooms and housekeeping. I thought the cruise director did a great job and the shows were wonderful.
I felt the crew needed more training. You askeed three people the same question and got three different answers. The dining was a disaster. Getting a reservation or a place to sit was a major problem. Service was slow (2 hours and leaving before coffee is too long). Buffet room was too small. We had to take food to another deck to sit down. We much prefer the assigned dining.

Pros: The islands and the ship's show cast

Cons: freestyle cruising

Recommends Norwegian Wind (RETIRED)? No.

Food and Dining
Having to pay extra for the Bistro is ridiculous. Getting seated was a major problem for six people. There were nights one dining room was closed to general public. Service was slow. Food was adequate.
Ship Quality
Staterooms were nice and kept clean. Buffet room too small.
Service and Staff
The staff seemed to be willing and usually friendly; however, needed more training about the ship and the activities.
Cabin / Stateroom
Entertainment
Entertainment was wonderful
