Hawaii- truely an enchanted place

Sail Date: October 28, 2006

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This was an older, smaller ship. Our room on the 9th deck was great with the floor to ceiling window. I would like to recommend that when the passengers are tendered to shore, there is a way for passengers that have not booked a tour Not be the last to be tendered ashore.

Pros: The scenery was magnificant- lush mountains coming down to the sea. Snorking in Kona was the best.

Cons: I would have liked varied music around the pool areas.

Recommends Norwegian Wind (RETIRED)? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
No complaints, bathroom was small, but workable. Plenty of closet and shelf space. The floor to ceiling window in the alcove really opened up the space. The bed and comforter were the best.
Service and Staff
Everyone went out of their way to be friendly. The only complaint with freestyle dining is that we did not get to know our waiters.
Ship Quality
This is an older ship, easy to learn your way around.
Food and Dining
There was a variety of food and one could eat at almost any time of the day of night. That being said, the food was of average quality and presentation.
Entertainment was varied. I enjoyed all the lei making activities.
Hilo, Hawaii
The waterfalls and scenery are magnificant
Nawiliwili, Kauai
Fanning Island, Kiribati
The swimming area was beautiful and the water warm and clear
Don't Miss: Rent a bicycle and tour the island on your own
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
The coast line is quite beautiful.
Don't Miss: The rafting/snorking tour was the greatest. The water was warm and calm and the amount of fish was astounding.
Lahaina, Maui
Again, the waterfalls and scenery.
Don't Miss: The Road to Hana or snorking in Malikai
