Just OK cruise

Sail Date: April 01, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship itself was old, very old. These cruise days, the ships should have a center atrium, glitz and glamour. This ship had none of these. It was breaking down as we cruised, the room across from ours had a water leak and we had a carpet blower in our doorway for over 5 days. No dance floor, the main lounge had so many seats no one could get around. The daily newsletter had many errors (conflicting information), if a cruiser spotted them on a daily basis, someone should be fired for putting this out. There should be a card room instead of card table tops that are so worn out and stained, they felt dirty to use.

Pros: Food and service was excellent

Cons: The ship was the worst, would never spend my cruise dollar on this ship again

Ship Quality
Entertainment
The variety for an older cruiser was limited. Please, for everyones sake, ELIMINATE jugglers from ALL cruises. No one past 12 yrs old is entertained by this level of variety.
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
For an 11 day cruise, I only saw the cruise director at the main shows at night. NEVER saw him around the ship, greeting customers.
Hilo, Hawaii
This is the worst stop in Hawaii. We've cruised Hawaii before and are always amazed that any ship would pick this port.
Don't Miss: Nothing, miss this port completely next time.
Nawiliwili, Kauai
The cruise around the island was absolutely wonderful, the bus driver was interesting, funny, interested in us and very very helpful.
Don't Miss: Helicopter ride.
Lahaina, Maui
A beautiful island and port. Your excursions were wonderful and a great variety for any interest.
Don't Miss: Zip line.
