Bring binoculars to Alaska! If you are Latitudes member, be sure and sign up for wine tasting and other latitudes events on embarkation day. I didn’t and they claimed they were full. This has not happened to me on other Norwegian ships. Enjoy and try all of the Sail and Sustain cocktails!

If you are going for more then 7 days definitely splurge for the upgrade and get the suite. So many advantages with it. Priority on and off ship, breakfast and lunch in specialty restaurants, large cabin, and staff to help with everything. I wish I can bring my butler home!

Take a bathing suit even though it's Alaska. For an alternative for a buffet, go to the Great Outdoors on deck 11 aft. behind the Garden Cafe.

We had our hiccups, engine troubles the first day that made us arrive 4 hours later in Juneau and of course the slight odor smell in my cabin, but I still had a great time on the Sun. I met and talked to very nice people, passengers and staff alike. And as NCL says, I got to do "as little or as much as I like" and enjoyed every minute of it.
