Mediocre Cruise

Only bad cruise we ever experienced was on The Pride of America cruising to Hawaii. It was a jinxed ship from start to finish. They lost our luggage right off the bat. Disembark time was hours standing in a line. The food was the worst we’d ever been served. Spicy sauces on almost every entree. Only fruit we saw was spotted brown bananas and rotten apples. No recognition for past cruises, so never got any perks. Service anywhere on this ship was way below par, the worst we’d ever seen. We went 3& 1/2 days out of a 7 day cruise without a working bathroom (we asked first, then demanded a new room/ we were told it was a full ship so we were just stuck). Nobody would listen, nobody cared, nobody ever apologized. The very worst thing was our stateroom was left with dirty, contaminated bedding with SCABIES, from the passengers before us. Just totally disgusting. We’re not fussy people, never have been/ but it was one disaster after another-never so glad to get off a ship in my life. When we arrived back home in Michigan, we wrote a strongly worded letter to NCL telling them about how far this cruise fell short compared to all our other cruises. Corporate response was to send a cheapie voucher which we felt obligated to use. After using, we made the decision to never give another dime of our cruise money to NCL. This was upsetting on so many levels, we never got an apology. We try to tell all cruisers to steer clear of this cruise line because their customer service is non existent. An apology would have gone a long way. We’re still cruising, just never again with NCL.
