Room Type: Balcony

Ship was in dire need of refurbishment. Theatre seats were stained\, torn and smelled. Dining room seats were torn and stained. Hallways (carpet and trim) were dented\, torn and faded. Time to refurbish. Food in general dining room was poor at best. Decent food was available in the specialty dining rooms (cruise food like it used to be). Norwegian does a great job of nickel and diming throughout the whole cruise. I raised several issues to the Hotel Manager and he acknowledged all the comments. More of a \"yup\, you are right\" comment than anything else. On a positive note\, we had a leak in our stateroom and the crew esponded promptly to fix and provide solutions. Ship is scheduled for refurbishment (according to the Hotel Mgr.) after the summer cruises in October 2013. My suggestions--stay away from this boat until it has come back from refurbishment.

Theatre was in pretty rough shape. Small cast of dancers. Really a bit rough all around. Better stay with the other lines for entertainment.
Service and Staff
Some staff were exceptional and very responsive. Majority of staff was fine. We had a stateroom steward who was never to be found\, never smiled nor said anything. I guess he was nearing the end of his contract and looking forward to going home. Actually the worst steward I have had cruising.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had leak in our shower which over flowed into the stateroom. We were moved to another stateroom which had curtains and sofa slip missing. Very dated decor.
Food and Dining
Main dining room service was slow. Food quality poor at best. Decent food available in premium restaurants for additional charge. Wine list on board is OK--but don't be fooled they did not have several of the selections listed. Response from crew was \"We don't have that.\" No apology; no offer to substitute. By the way\, I had to send another bottle back as it was vinegar.
Ship Quality
Worn out\, very tired looking. Torn fabrics\, carpet stained in public areas. Chairs in resturants were splitting.
