7 Night Western Caribbean (Tampa Roundtrip)
Sail Date: April 05, 2015
Ship: Norwegian Sun
Cabin Type: Inside
Cabin Number: 9323
Traveled As: Family (young children)

We just got back from 7 night cruise aboard NCL Sun.  The ship was a little "aged" since it's been running for a while.  The sea was very calm at this time of the year (April, 2015) compared with our other cruises (the sea with NCL Jewel leaving from NYC in Nov 2013 was more choppy).  The 4 island stops and shore excursions were very fantastic and well planned.  The daily programs were really good, had something to do for all ages.  The complimentary dining were good, nothing special though.  We enjoyed this cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Bigger than the NCL Jewel inside stateroom we were on.

Ship Tip

Tips: Book cruise port to airport/hotel transfer ahead of time inland, instead of on the cruise, because they'll charge double.

Arrived Tampa a day early and stayed at Best Western (free airport shuttle). $10/pp shuttle to cruise port.

Gumbalina Park was fun for all, esp pictures with monkeys on our shoulders and macaws on our arms

Beach Day excursion with tender boats directly to the private island.

Chacchoben Mayan Ruins was magnificent to see and experience.

Busiest port and lots of excursions. We did Fly High Zip lines there (first zipline experience) and really enjoyed this man-made, tower to tower zips.
