We have been on multiple cruises, this being our first experience with Norwegian. To start, the check in process went very quick and smooth getting our passes and getting onto the ship and into our rooms. The room steward we had was excellent and kept the rooms clean and inviting. The food on the cruise was not bad but the choices were very limited in the main dining rooms. One side of the menu was the same every night with only two new choices each night. The competitors I have sailed personally had a much better selection of foods and, in my opinion, better quality. We did see all of the shows they had to offer each night. The on board entertainers shows were good but not great. The special entertainers were excellent, comedian Sam Ferelle put on great shows but I was not happy that they had his final adult only show in the Dazzle lounge instead of the main Stardust Room. There was not even close to enough seats and we ended up having to stand in a corner where the stage and show was not even visible. El Goucho was another show that was excellent and funny and Jerry Sager performed a broadway style show that was excellent as well. The ports and the on and off experience at each port was handled very well with lots to do at each stop. The only true problem we had was our toilet in our room started giving us problems and not flushing the last day or two. We called once and the toilet flushed but the problem reoccured. The second time we called they old us the problem had been marked repaired but they would send someone. The problem turned out to be from another room where a gasket had broke in the plumbing which led to banging and vaccuuming in the hall way at 2 in the morning. Also waking up to a soggy capet was not the best. The did set up dryers in our room all day and gave us a free bottle of "sorry for your troubles" wine and a few chocolate covered strawberries. All that said, my final review would have to be ...overall not a bad cruise but personally will go back to Royal Caribbean.
