A good time

Sail Date: July 15, 2012

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

First time cruiser. Awesome staff who really made the cruise a joy. Older crowd on the boat-not a party boat like I hear the Carribean Cruises can be. Good, long ports of call. Internet slow and very expensive.

Pros: The staff

Cons: The food Quality

Recommends Norwegian Sun? Yes!

Ship Quality
Ship was in good shape\, clean and well maintained
Food and Dining
Plentiful food amount\, variety and availability. Quality was average. Breakfast was the best meal of the day. The specialty (extra fee places) not much better than free dining facilities\, but a more personal dining experience.
Cabin / Stateroom
Good. TV did not have a remote but our friends did. Recommend a window or balcony. Even if you didn't spend a lot of time in the room\, the inside cabin felt like a closet - no light during long daylight conditions.
Service and Staff
Awesome! Made the whole cruise. Some staffers really went out of their way to assist us. Great job!
Good. The Cirque and Magic shows were very good.
Children's Programs
Friends used the services and parents and kids liked it. My kids found their own peeps to hang with.
