Enjoyed the quick and efficient boarding process. This was the best I have ever experienced on any cruise. We had a balcony room for 3 guests. It was rated for 4 guests, however I am hard pressed to believe that 4 adults could maneuver in this room at the same time. The balcony was an added bonus, but it only had 2 chairs. We added the "desk" chair so that the 3 of us could sit on the balcony at the same time. The food left a lot to be desired. I was not expecting a 5 star experience, but at least a different daily menu would have been nice. It was the same every day in the main dining rooms and the cafe. We chose to eat in 3 of the specialty restaurants which added to our cost, but was preferable to the cookie cutter menu offered in the other venues. The best specialty restaurant was LeBistro. It was the best meal we had during the trip. I would rate it 4 stars. The staff was terrific. Friendly, helpful and courteous. The layout of the ship was difficult to maneuver. Some trips on board took 2 elevator changes to arrive at your destination. Tiny casino with very tight slots was a negative. Way too many penny slots. The Galleria was 2 shops; jewelry and an all purpose store (liquor, make-up, souvenirs, clothes, etc. Everything but the casino closed down by 11:30 pm. Too many overlapping events which lasted only 1 hour so you couldn't go from one to another and keep the night going. White Hot night was the best night event, but was over and done way too early. We looked around and were the only one's left in Dazzles at 11 pm. We still wanted to dance some more but there was no place to go. The ports we stopped at were fun and had many options available for activities. Disembarkation was as flawlessly handled as boarding. They are very efficient with this process.

Pros: The staff, the ports, morning room service.

Cons: The food, the ship layout, WiFi was unavailable 4 days

Recommends Norwegian Sun? Yes!

Food and Dining
I did not like the freestyle dining. Prefer a structured dining experience. We used specialty dining 3 times for a change to the cookie cutter menu offered in the dining rooms.
Not enough late night venues. Entertainment was ok. Wanted more pool deck activities especially on sea days.
Ship Quality
Small ship which I liked. The public areas were clean and well kept. But, accessibility to different areas of the ship was a challenge because there is no way to get to one end of the ship to another without changing elevators or walking long distances to find your way. Not enough public restrooms.
Cabin / Stateroom
Small balcony room for more than 2 people. Our room was a Family Room for up to 4 people. 3 of us was a stretch. No way a 4th person could have been added to this room. Very clean and had a great room steward.
Service and Staff
We loved everyone we came in contact with on a regular basis. Our room steward Jerome never seemed to sleep. He was always there for us and took very good care of our rooms and us. Magdalena Peligross, was our server in IlAdageo and was spectabular. We fell in love with her and even when we saw her in other places in the ship, she remembered us. She called us her Charlie's Angels.
