A Great Family Vacation

Sail Date: December 17, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

There were six of us, split between two rooms. The rooms were very nice, the staff exceptional, and overall we had a great family vacation. The port stops were well planned, and the formal excursions, as well as the personally planned ones, all worked out very well. The private island was very nice and a great way to just relax the last day of the cruise.

Pros: The staff were outstanding

Cons: Not a lot for 18-20 year olds to do.

Recommends Norwegian Sun? Yes!

Food and Dining
The East meets West restaurant was $25 extra per person and was really not worth the extra money. The other premium restaurants may have been better.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Children's Programs
The staff were really the best for the 0 to 12 year olds. They were enthusiastic, engaged the kids, did fun activities, and really excelled.
