Review summary

The ship was well-maintained. The meals were tasty but fairly unimaginative. Choices at meals in dining rooms were limited. Staterooms were roomy for my needs. Bar service was excellent.

Specialty options were available and this may have made the selections in the dining rooms decline to increase use of specilty restaurants.

Entertainment

This was last cruise for the production staff and their enthusiasm seemed to be missing. The additional entertainment was good but were all basically commedians. One was a juggler and commedian. One was a hypnotist and commedian. Another was a very good commedian. Would have enjoyed some different types of entertainers.

Cabin steward was very accesible and pleasant when meeting requests.

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

Waste of time. Would have preferrred a longer stay in one or more of the other ports. We arrived at 7 am and had to be back on the ship by 12:30 pm. Nothing opens until 9 am or later so we really had no time to enjoy the port.

Took the waterfall tour. Since it was during the dry season, the the waterfalls had little to no water! The walk in the jungle going to and coming from the waterfalls was very interesting. No time to do any restaurants or shopping due to the length of time in port.

Cozmel has really cleaned up their act over the years. It is a pleasant port now.

Had the cave tubing tour. Excellent. Would recommend this to anyone but the elderly. Lots of walking involved carrying you tube.

Don't Miss: Cave tubing!!!

Pros: The staff was very accomodating and personable. Remembered specifics about my preferences.

Cons: Lack of choice of entertainment for the 30-50 age group after 11:30 pm.

Recommends Norwegian Sun? Yes!
