Ship: Norwegian Sun
Cabin Type: Suite
Traveled As: Family (older children)

Older, somewhat smaller, well maintained. Cabin housekeeping staff was excellent. Overall, food was good to excellent. Restaurant and bar service was generally good to excellent, a few of the specialty restaurants and bars had questionable/bad service.

Older teen program was OK. Could of been a little more creative for older teens.

Service and Staff

Overall excellent, with 2-3 exceptions noted above.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Older ship, well maintained. Somewhat smaller size was good in that ship did not feel crowded, had more list than larger ships, despite calm water during cruise.

Don't Miss: Snorkling.

Don't Miss: Phillipsburg is a nice town. Walking around to get feel of island was great.

Pros: Freestyle dining flexibility (both time flexibility and speciality/menu flexibility). Also, the fact that there were not an excessive number of announcemnets from Cruisee Director or staff, as on some previous cruises.

Cons: Poor service in Le Bistro (took forever to get water, our wine, hot dessert was cold), on-board internet service (rude manager, questionable time charges, printer not working), and no deck chairs on Promenade level for 'shade lounging.

Recommends Norwegian Sun? No.
