Norwegien did a poor job telling us times to embark, so we missed eating lunch on the boat the first day. Due to weather, we were unable to stop at their private island (missed that one announcement also), and stopped at Nassua, but there were no provisions to get anyone to the beach - so you had to taxi and provide your own lunch. The other bad thing was you have to purchase any soft drinks, bottled water at an exorbiant price ($4.50 - 8.00) to take a bottle of water ashore in the heat - you could not bring your own. Suggestion: bring an empty water bottle to fill yourself and book your shore excursions through private (internet) brokers and save yourself a bundle.

we did the tour of the town, boat ride and ruins. Interesting.

very touristy, typical mexican shopping but fun - our shore excursions got cancelled due to weather, but our kids "swam with the dolphins" and enjoyed it

We booked a snorkeling trip off the internet and it was great, be sure you get to the other side of the island
Don't Miss: snorkeling the reef - not much town to visit

Pros: dining

Cons: lack of good communications/nickel and diming you to death

Recommends Norwegian Sun? No.
