An okay cruise-not our best.

Room Type: Balcony

Have sailed on several other cruise lines-this wasn't our favorite and we probably won't sail Norwegian again. The main reason was there was a high percentage of Europeans, so it was just a different crowd. We realize anyone can be rude, but I don't really think this was rudeness as much as just a different culture-ie taking lounge chairs that clearly were being used by others (placing the other person's belongings on the floor and refusing to give up the chair when the original user returned just minutes later) or blocking walk ways. Sounds like I'm being petty, but it happened regularly. The crew was very nice, the ship was very clean. Parking at the Port of Miami was very expensive-$20.00 per day-cash!

Pros: Cabin was spacious, very clean. Original ports of call were great-two got changed due to hurricane damage and weather.

Cons: This cruise line seems to cater to Europeans, who have different manners and prefer different cuisine.

Recommends Norwegian Sun? Yes!

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Really poor area-I don't enjoy seeing poverty like that or feeling unsafe. Don't bother using a pay phone-don't work. A cafe allowed us to call out teens at home and only charged us $2.00.
Cozumel, Mexico
We have visited this port numerous times and were not looking forward to it. However, our friends suggested we rent a jeep. We drove the isalnd preimeter and visited the various bars and beaches. It was great! We had beautiful weather, got great photos. Don't miss the bar with about a dozen photo albums of female patrons lifting their tops. Very amusing.
Don't Miss: Rent a jeep and tour the island perimeter.

Belize City, Belize
Visited Mayan ruins here-loved them. Bus ride was about an hour, but it was comfortable and gave us an opportunity to see the country side. Don't like that at the end of the tour, they drop you off at a different location so as to force you to walk through the market place. We were lost! Pay phone worked but charged us $40.00 for a 3 minute call.
