we have been on 6 cruises before\, so we have other experiences to compare this cruise to. The Norwegian star is in disrepair and needs immediate attention. The spinnaker lounge obviously has had a water leak for awhile. When you first enter the lounge the smell of mold and mildew were choking. The staterooms a/c unit was barely working. we reported it to maintence and supposedly they worked on it. our room was sooo hot that chocolate candy bars we had brought with us stayed in a melted state the entire cruise. there were several areas of the ship that the carpeting was in desperate need of replacement. Overall\, a disappointing cruise with Norwegian.

Pros: i loved the sunny weather and going into mazatlan\, by far the best port.

Cons: very disappointed in the ships maintence and food

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
the food in the dining rooms and buffet area were just of an ok rating. Nothing stood out as great and the ribeye and sirloin steaks were horrible.
Cabin / Stateroom
we had 2 adults and 2 kids in a economical room. In my opinion\, the ship should not ever allow 4 people in that size room. it is much too small and should not be allowed.
Service and Staff
the only thing I would say is on the first port\, Cabo\, we used tenders. when they made the call to start boarding\, they called numbers 1-5 to the disembark deck. This was like moving cattle. a total of 500 people were called with these 5 numbers\, there were pushing & yelling. They should not have called more than 2 numbers at a time. total chaos.
we enjoyed all the entertainment except the love of ages nite. It was a corny show. The magician and hand balancer were terrific.
Children's Programs
our teens loved the teen center
