bad cruise ship

Sail Date: December 01, 2013

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

elevators sticky and filthy, mold in stateroom, broken theater seats, charging for the majority of the restaurants, mediocre kids programs for those age 9-12. I traveled Norwegian 15 years ago and thought it to be an upscale cruise line. I no longer think that

Pros: some of the entertainment

Cons: dozens if not hundred of Broken Seats in main theater

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.

Ship Quality
This 20+ year old ship in desparate need of a makeover
Food and Dining
Desserts were awful no matter where you went. Some of the appetizers and entre's in the 'free' dining rooms was acceptable quality
Cabin / Stateroom
room fairly clean altho mold in shower and door track was broken. Also they only gave us 2 towels even tho 3 of us were in the room
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Would have rated it higher if they'd had a decent kid's program and if the seats in the theater were not broken and if internet access had not been such a ripoff
Children's Programs
Lousy options if your child is age 9-12
