Review SummaryRooms'adequate, bathroom slighly larger than average. Very clean, no complaints there.
Food variable formal dining room, Versaillies, but basically good, not great. Service in that dining room mixed, slow and most staff rushed and not attentive. Food at specialty steak house, Cagney's, a real disappointment. Atmosphere and service great, but steak better in regular restaurants.
Times in port too hectic, shortness of days in Helsinki and Stockholm tragic, departures at 4:30 and 3:30. Stockholm especial beautiful. Both cities easy to negotiate. Excursions to Berlin and St. Petersburg manic. Berlin only satisfying if your goal mainly to see the scenery from a bus. (Consider spending your time in Warnemunde and taking the train to Rostock. Train only 20 minutes and easy to do both on your own.
St. Petersburg two day tour very rushed, except at lunch which was very slow and mediocre each day. Why spend all the money on the very expensive excursions $150 to $225 per day to sit at lunch? I suggest you consider the shorter tours (3-5 hours) and eat lunch on the ship.
I would only recommend this cruise to people more interested in cruising than the ports. If you are satisfied just getting off the ship four or five hours a day you might be satisfied with this experience. I was not.
