Welcoming-- not always in a state of perfect cleanliness but very comfortable. One can always find something to complain of but overall we love NCL and are quite attached to the Star. So far we have sailed with NCL around a dozen times, mostly on the Star. We have had deck 4 portholes, oceanview, balconies and suites and, apart from the " porthole", loved them all, especially the staff who now often remember who we are. We are coming home from Europe on the Sun in September and spending Thanksgiving on The Pride in Hawaii. Life doesn't get much better than this so what if the room steward misses a bit of dust one day, or we have to run away from a hurricane (which we did), It's still the most fun I have ever had .

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We love the optional "specialty" dining--our favorite are the Asian and the Bistro

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Our favorite daytime entertainment is having time to read---more quiet reading spots (only emergency announcements) would be great.
