Ship: Norwegian Star
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Family (young children)

We thought the ship to be completely compatible for our family of seven: 3 children and 4 adults. Rooms though small were just fine and very clean. We enjoyed having a balcony since we were able to truly enjoy arriving at the three Mexican ports. The staff added to the children's delight by creating various animals from the bath towels each evening. The food was plentiful and something to please everyone.

Although the pool-side entertainment was not great the theater entertainment was quite good: magician, acrobatics, etc. And music in the lounges was very good too.

Pros: We called the ship "the Yes Ship" since everyone treated our grandchildren with so much enthusiasm. The meals served in the main dining rooms were excellent as well as the "free-style" Market Place. Rooms were spotless and staff professional and personalable.

Cons: The entertainment at Pool-side. The band/singer had a great voice but he used most of it screaming and was way too loud and did not make sense! All he screamed was, "jump, jump, etc." A fun Mexican themed band would have been much better.
