They really mean it when they say don't bring your own alcohol onto the ship. Our baggage was held and we had to stand in line an hour (with a whole bunch of other folks) to fess up to a bottle Baileys and they held it until the end of the cruise.
Most of the staff was very pleasant and our cabin stewards were the best!
The spa was kind of expensive, but we enjoyed the acupuncture session and learned a lot.
Pool was kind of small, but area around was very nice with hot tubs, open sunning, and some shaded seating.
The Bier Garten was high above the pool and shaded. It was pleasant to listen to the live music and sip on beers.

Pros: Freestyle was a pleasant experience. We used room service for breakfast most mornings for an easy start to the day.

Cons: The person in the room forward of ours smoked on his balcony and it blew directly onto our balcony and into our room when the outside door was open. I think they should separate smokers and not put them directly forward of nonsmokers. Heard this comment from other passengers, too.

Recommends Norwegian Star? Yes!

Ship Quality
Everything was fine until we got back to LA and disembarkation was a mess because we were the 3rd ship in and couldn't use deck 7 to get off. We were supposed to get off at 8:50, but didn't get out til nearly 10. Felt like we were in a cattle car stuck on the steps.
Entertainment
Cabin / Stateroom
Enjoyed our room. Had a small couch by the sliding glass door for a nice seating option.
