Freesyle cruising, definitely different!

Sail Date: April 01, 2009

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

The entertainment was outstanding and spectacular. We noticed most of the servers and personnel (in the restaurants with a cover charge and also at the buffet) lacked the incentive to please the customer so the ones that did want to please, totally stood out and were exceptional. Another thing is all the hidden costs and the nickel and dimey way for most everything.

Pros: Cruise Directors Enthusiasm

Cons: Uncleanliness in the staterooms and pool bathrooms

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
Cramped, dirty carpet and the balcony was filthy and stayed that way during the seven day cruise.
Service and Staff
In the seven days, there were only a few with a smile and eagerness to be of service.
Children's Programs
Took grandchildren age 8 and 10. They loved the pool and the slides, however, the gaming places were beat up, pieces of games missing, ping pong balls crushed and generally everything was beat up and missing.

Food and Dining
Cagneys Steakhouse was totally a disappointment, however Endless summer was phenominal is food and service.
Cruise entertainment was excellent. The Director Paul was amazing in the way he was quick witted and funny.
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
A fun place to hire a driver, see sights, and especially LePlaya. Shopping in the city is so much fun and the local people are so kind.
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Mazatlan, Mexico
