A disaster

Sail Date: June 01, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

The cruise line cares about its passengers until you book and pay. The cruise line promised onboard credit, not received. We did not have a room to fit the number of passengers - beds. We were locked out of our room over 20 times. Could not get into restaurants unless you pay. Some restaurants advertised as free, had cover on board.

Pros: not much

Cons: service, ability to get food, disregard for passengers needs

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.

Ship Quality
The ship before us had 300 people sick according to staff.
Food and Dining
It was hard to get into restuarnts and inspite of freestyle, you did have to get dressed up. Lines in restarants. Some advertised as free had cover charges.
Cabin / Stateroom
We were told we would not have a rollaway and we had to get one every night. We paid for 4 in room, 3 beds.
Service and Staff
We had to continually wait in line to get a new key for our room. Over 20 times, very stressful.
Shows were good. Bingo was expensive. Casino was a rip off.
Children's Programs
Kids hated it, wouldn't go.
