NCL Cruise

Sail Date: August 12, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Balcony

It was clean, most of the staff was friendly and polite, the kids crew staff was excellent. The ship was too crowded. Both pools were too small and crowded for swimming. Not enough lounge chairs on non-pool decks. Only two hot tubs in the non-kids area were open at a time and they were often full of kids! There was not enough time in the ports, particularly on the beach!

Our cruise was on the NCL SPIRIT to Port Canaveral, Nassau and Stirrup Cay...not Alaska

Pros: Kids program

Cons: Too many extra costs

Recommends Norwegian Star? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
The buffet food was not great. In order to get a decent meal you had to pay extra for it.
Service and Staff
Some staff were rude
Entertainment
Cabin / Stateroom
The staterooms were fine.
Children's Programs
Kid's Crew was great. Our son loved it!
