Review summary

I felt like a pinata that Norwegian Cruise Lines would wack daily to see how much money they could get to fall from me. The ship was old and outdated. The passengers, while nice, were older and thus the ship went quiet at 10:30pm.

The Spirit was recently redone, 2017. I enjoyed the ship immensely.

If you really want to be shaken for every penny try out RC.

It’s all about what individuals like. We cruised Carnival Miracle and Horizon, preferred the older ship. NCL 3 times, Spirit, Epic and Star, don’t have a single negative thing to say! Prefer NCL over Carnival. Enjoyed all of them.

It really pays to do A LOT of research prior to booking a cruise.

What's wrong with quiet after 10:30pm?

All the cruise lines are trying to nickel and dime us.

The passenger on Carnival are all ages. I am 67 and my daughter's mother-in-law is 73.

Carnival is probably more your style. We have cruised 3 times on Carnival, once on NCL, and once on Royal Caribbean. We like Carnival the most.

Always try to book cruises on the newer ships or at least ones that have been refurbished recently.
