Amazing Trip

Sail Date: May 01, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We just returned from our 12 night Grand Mediterranean cruise on the Norwegian Spirit. Our trip could not have been more perfect. We so so many iconic cultural and historic sites. Each port of call provided experiences that will treasure as life long memories. Our trip could not have been more perfect.

Pros: Ports of Call

Cons: Extra Charges for every little thing

Recommends Norwegian Spirit? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
There was an abundance of good food. But\, having cruised for a number of years\, it seems that in order to enjoy fine dining you have to go to the specialty dining venues and pay and extra fee. Even there\, if you want lobster\, you have to pay an additional fee. The buffet was always filled with great choices and provided an opportunity for quick meals. But\, the buffet was so crowded you got worn out just trying to collect everything you wanted. The 2 main dining rooms offered good food and service. We were never disappointed. We found that the Garden dining room offered the best service.
Cabin / Stateroom
OUr balcony state room was always clean and well maintained. It did seem a little small (when compared to say a balcony room on the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic).
Service and Staff
The staff went out of their way to be friendly. On other cruises we have been on\, on the day of disembarkation\, the crew act like they don't even know you. On the Norwegian Spirit\, they were all around trying to be helpful and acting like they truly valued you as their guest. That was a pleasant suprise.
