Much better than expected!
Norwegian Spirit Cruise Review to Caribbean - Southern
Ship: Norwegian Spirit
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Family (older children)
Reviewed: 6 years ago
My son, his wife and I went on the cruise. I expected it to be group of guys in T-shirts without sleeves walking around holding beer cans. Boy was I wrong!
Everyone dressed casually but well (which includes jeans and shorts). There were no ill-mannered drunks. Much better passengers than Carnival has.
There were few children and teenagers and all were a pleasure to be around.
The decor is slightly elegant without a lot of neon colors and over the top glitz.
The food in the specialty dining rooms ranged from very good to excellent--a real surprise. The buffet was good to very good. The dining room food was only OK. Due to the ship's size there are not lots of aciive things to do-no climbing wall, no putt-putt course, etc. The gym/workout room was good size with nice equipment. The passenger cabins were quiet. The theater entertainment was OK but there was a very good husband guitarist and wife singer at the Champagne Lounge. It was nice that smoking was limited to the outside decks and casino but therefore, the casino was too smokey.

Pros: Specialty restaurants were VERY good or better. Smaller ship without Las Vegas decor.
Cons: Entertainment only OK.
