Ship: Norwegian Spirit
Cabin Type: Inside

Although the ship is not the newest or biggest in the NCL fleet, but it is one of the nicest. This ship is easy to get around, not overwhelming, extremely well kept and packed with all the amenities you would look for.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The freestyle dining concept is amazing. You can eat when you want and have a romantic table for two and not with complete strangers. The buffet quality was good, especially for the kids and there were always great choices and good variety in the main dining rooms. You can even pay a small fee from $10-$25 to eat in one of the many specialty restaurants, but the food is so good in the main dining rooms, that unless you have a major craving for sushi or something a little more exotic, I'd stick to the main dining rooms.

5 out of 5
There are plenty of things to do all the time. The variety of shows was excellent, from song and dance, to magic, to acrobats, to comedy and more... The kids pool was a great options and the 5 hot tubs made for a lot of places to take a nice soak and relax.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
The kids program was so good that the kids never wanted to leave it

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I have been on several cruises and while I always find the staff on cruises to go out of their way to please, the NCL staff was beyond what I even expected.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
A smaller ship can be a bit less overwhelming and although it may not have some of the cool amenities of the largest ships, you are not lacking for anything. The Spirit is clean, easy to get around and extremely pleasant to be in.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Staterooms are very typical of most cruise lines. They are clean and the stateroom staff take very good care of them. Linens and towels are good quality.

Pros: Freestyle cruising is the way to go!

Cons: Smoking is allowed in too many places.

Recommends Norwegian Spirit? Yes!
