I recommend this cruise, just not this ship (which is being replaced after this year anyway). The crew was awesome, friendly, helpful and talented. Shows were excellent, and plenty of variety. We had two teens, who quickly made friends and had the time of their lives. We really enjoyed the experience, and marveled at the ease of getting on and off. The sports deck was really disappointing. The "basketball court" was tiny, and beat up. THere was only one rim, and the balls were old. The golf facillity was just as bad, with really old rusty clubs, and beat-up balls. NCL could update both for a very small investment. Food was great and plentiful, something for everyone.

Pros: Great for teens during summer vacation. Good food, good entertainment.

Cons: "sports deck" was pretty run-down and lacked decent equipment

Recommends Norwegian Spirit? No.

Ship Quality
See above. Mostly the sports deck was poor, and the pool was very small.
Food and Dining
No complaints. Huge variety, easy to get what you want, no lines to speak of. Portions in the main dining rooms were small for dinner, but that ended up being good, as there was plenty available to snack on later in the evening if you were still hungry.
Cabin / Stateroom
We were on the 8th deck, and an inside cabin. It was our first cruise, so no basis to compare, but we slept beautifully in a very comfortable bed with comfy pillows. Plenty of storage room in closets and under bed.
Service and Staff
Excellent. Friendly, helpful, and really pleasant.
Entertainment
Lots of variety. The entertainment staff were really very talented and fun to watch. Enjoyed the improv crew's performances, the music (everywhere) was very good, particularly the band that played by the pool. We enjoyed all the shows.
King's Wharf, Bermuda
If you arrive on a Sunday, don't try to take the buses to the beach. Spring for a cab or a "mini-bus", you'll get there quicker.
Don't Miss: We did a catamaran snorkeling excursion that was very good, and 3 hours long.
