Iit was a wonderful 12 days on a beautiful ship. You walk a lot more than on other ships, especially trying to get on/off at ports and for tenders.

Pros: The freedom to dine whenever you wanted was the best experience - no rushing to get to meals/or waiting to eat either. This would be great if traveling with a large family.

Cons: Service fee of $12/day/adult for all staff decreases their willingness to excell. I was very surprised to discover this policy, which was not evident anywhere in the written documents prior to the cruise, but explains a lot of the staff behaviors.

Recommends Norwegian Spirit? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom was cleaned 2x/day, however, attendant didn't replace soap when empty dispenser was left on counter.
Entertainment
Like most cruise lines, the good entertainment occurs during the first few days, then resorts to the marginal level of entertainment.
Ship Quality
Ship was keep clean but not sparkling. Some areas are showing wear, ie. carpets, tiles around the pool, table edges, etc.
Food and Dining
Food on NCL has definately improved from a few years ago. Even buffet food at all meals was varied, and much better than previously served.
Deserts could still stand much improvement, as I didn't have a tasty desert in 12 days.
Service and Staff
Although the staff throughout the ship were friendly and helpful, I don't think that they try quite as hard, knowing that they probably won''t be tipped at the end of the cruise due to "built-in" service fees.
