We left from Manhattan, where we could walk to the terminal from where we were staying. An impressive ship, plenty of public space, too much smoking in some of them. All in all a good atmosphere, friendly crew, good food in Raffles, and something t eat 24 hours a day. Shows not up to what we expected.
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food and service in the main dining rooms could be well improved. Raffles, the food hall had more than ample quantities, with high quality, with hardly any wait for food. Well presented and very tasty, this beat the dining rooms hands down. However, why juice only at breakfast, with tea, coffee and iced tea the whole day? Maybe the juice could be offered the whole day as well.Did not try any of the speciality restaurants as Raffles more than adequate.

The guest entertainers not our cup of tea. The best was the Jamaican band around the pool, and the best show was the one put on by the crew.
Service and Staff

All staff/crew friendly, never had a bad moment, always willing to help.

Layout of ship very good, with plenty of bars and public areas. Best pool that we have seen on a ship so far, and the band there just too good to be true.Norwegian are quite the fanatics with regard to hygiene, plenty of places to wash, and overall cleanliness cannot be faulted. Some of the areas are truely magnificent, the Galaxy of the Stars stretches across the ship, on top of the bridge, with the most manificent views.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had requested a queen bed, and on arrival it was not so! However the crew promised, and the did, move the beds together to form a queen bed. But why no queen sheets?Just the single sheets used.We felt that the could have gone the extra mile to get queen size sheets. The bathroom was really good with seperate toilet and seperate shower stall. We just couldnt understand why laundry service offered for first time after 6 days? Other negative point, no breakfast forms to hang on door handle to get breakfast served in cabin. Cabin stewards more than friendly, and willing to excell.
Pros: The best is the freestyle cruising. No set hours to rush to get to the dining room.
Cons: The food and service in the main dining rooms were much below what we expected, or were used to.
