Not the worst/Not the best
Norwegian Spirit Cruise Review to Caribbean - Southern
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Family (young children)

Review SummaryBased upon readings and reviews of this 'Freestyle Cruising' trip, we were extremely unprepared and thus disappointed. Be sure to read the fine, fine print.
Upon boarding, it was obvious that past cruisers on this line new to make dinner reservations for the entire cruise. With freestyle dining, most people chose to eat at prime time (7pm), and thus there was a wait of at least 30 minutes each night.
There are more specialty restaurants on the boat, which all charge a cover charge (no matter what the childs age) than regular restaurants. The two main restaurants offer the same meal choices, so if you don't like the meal choice, your only other option is the buffet or an almost hour wait (all times of the day) at their indoor small joint that has burgers and fries.
Kids LOVED the kids camp, but it is closed all day when you are at port unless you pay a fee.
Food and Dining
Specialty restaurants were awesome, but a cover charge did apply.
