Awesome cruise!

Sail Date: July 01, 2006

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

We loved the ship! It was huge and there was so much to do. It was always clean and the kids loved the food 24 hours a day.

Pros: Our kids loved the kids club and the staff was always courteous and helpful

Cons: The quality of the food has seemed to go down with the freestyle crusing, although we loved that we could eat whenever we wanted.

Cabin / Stateroom
Our cabin was very small for the four of us.

Food and Dining
We loved the fact that we could eat anytime we wanted with the freestyle dining. However, we thought the quality of the food went down from the last Norwegian cruise. We also did not appreciate the fact that the specialty restaurants wanted to charge a cover charge, plus a la carte pricing for sushi! All the food should be included in the price of the cruise. Also, people are not supposed to wear shorts in the main dining rooms after 5:30. My husband was sent back up to his room to change, even though he was dressed in a nice shirt and shorts. The next night, we observed many people in shorts in the main dining room. This rule should not be a "pick and choose" option. Either enforce it with everyone, or nobody at all.
