Review summary
We immediately learned our way around this ship since it's not quite as large as some others that cruise out of NY. The decor is Asian, left over from a "previous life", but most of it is quite pretty. (The art works on the Norwegian Dawn were actually more to our taste!) The freestyle dining aspect of Norwegian cruises is wonderful - any meal at any time you choose in any non-specialty restaurant. We ate almost every meal in the main restaurant, Windows, and never had to wait more than a few minutes even at the peak dinner time of 7 pm. The one specialty restaurant that we visited provided a lovely dining experience and it was well worth the extra charge. We would do it again! The only negative that we experienced on this cruise was the bad weather one day out of NYC. The storm lasted for several hours and being seasick is no fun.....Ship experiences
