Loved the refurb, hated the weather during the second half of the cruise. But, the staff was awesome and we enjoyed most of our trip aside from Mother Nature.

Lots of waiting this time.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We booked before the free drink package was discontinued so we benefited from the premium beverage package and our drinks were always strong and good. Wine was great, too. Really enjoyed the 20oz bottles of water which was included with the package. One thing new to us was having to pay the taxes on drinks while in US port (Miami before we set sail and also while docked in Key West) but it wasn’t a big deal.
We did main dining room 3 of 4 nights and each night everything tasted great and there were tons of good items to choose from.
We did La Cucina for specialty dining and loved it. We tried the other restaurants before so wanted to try this this time.
Buffets always had different cuisines each day and weren’t super crowded even during the storms, which was nice.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We laid kind of low this time due to the weather situation the last 2 days of the vacation (pool was closed, it stormed all day, didn’t feel great so didn’t do a ton of indoor activities) but the gym was great and we enjoyed the pool deck the first two days.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The bands by the pool were always great and the comedian (Flip Shultz) was funny both nights. We didn’t really attend many shows
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
NCL Sky staff is always so accommodating and super nice/helpful. The wait staff goes above and beyond! The seas were very rough/rocky for over 24 hours, and the woman at guest services gave me motion sickness meds and even offered me to share her own. It’s a small gesture, but another example of how awesome and helpful they are.

Cabin / Stateroom

Mid-ship balcony was a great centrally located room. It was snug, but bright and clean and benefitted from the refurb. Balcony was nice but we barely used it this time due to storms.
Ship tip
It’s a small ship, so if you’re prone to motion sickness, definitely come prepared with anti-motion sickness stuff in case there’s not so awesome weather.
