The Norwegian Sky is showing her age -- a little rough around the edges with tacky decor and leftover Hawaiian motifs from when the ship was used there. The food was tasteless and uninspiring. The service crew were very friendly and helpful\, but the higher-ups (Cruise Director\, entertainment staff\, etc) lacked enthusiasm and seemed disorganized. Getting on/off the ship always seemed chaotic with limited signs\, directions\, and no staff available to help with crowd control or direct people to where they needed to be.

Food was tasteless and uninspiring. Never once did I bite into something and say \"Oh\, man -- this is good!\". We splurged on the Steak restaurant one night (upcharge of $30 per person) and it also was very underwhelming with spotty\, chaotic service.

Brad from the cruise director staff sounded friendly with his announcements\, but was a total jerk in person! My partner won Bingo one night and it was announced that part of his prize was a free Bingo card the following night. Although we had met Brad in person when he won\, he acted like he had no idea who we were when we showed up the following night and told us that a free bingo card was not part of the deal. Then\, during the game\, one of the audience members gently heckled Brad after he started randomly singing on stage. Brad responded by calling him up to the stage and then proceeded to humiliate him in front of everyone which I found to be ridiculous. Apart from Brad\, there were not any interesting entertainment options on board -- very limited TV channels\, no interesting shows\, no interesting musicians.

Service staff members were very friendly and helpful\, however no one went above and beyond.

The Sky is stuck in the 90's and doesn't have any of the cool features available on newer ships. Whenever we were in port\, we had \"ship envy\" when gawking at the fancy water-slides and amenities on the Disney cruise ship!
