A relaxing cruise

Sail Date: December 19, 2011

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The entire crew was very friendly and helpful. Waiters took special requests, but these were by and large ignored by the kitchen - for instance "no potatoes and extra vegetables please" - not oo difficult. Lots of activities for all age groups, but no problem just relaxing poolside. Good entertainment.

Pros: freestyle dining options; easy boarding and disembarkation

Cons: having to pay dining surcharges for specialty restaurants

Recommends Norwegian Sky? Yes!

Ship Quality
Difficult to get around. One main restaurant is on the fifth deck, but requires you to go up to six and walk down one deck. Walking/jogging deck was often closed part way for work while ship wasin port making it inconvenient to use.
Food and Dining
Food was good - portions just right. Buffets were very complete with all kinds of hot and cold choices. Nothing fancy or gourmet, but well prepared and tasty.
Cabin / Stateroom
Had a balcony cabin. Smaller than what I have had for a similar cabin on other cruise lines. Very small screen TV - I guess I am just spoiled by new larger flat screens.
