Amazing first-time Cruise!

For a first time cruise my friend and I had an amazing time. All the staff were so great and so knowledgeable about what was going on. The cruise itself was beautiful and there was always so much going on. The events did not disappoint and neither did the different shows presented each night. Especially enjoyed the top deck with the pool and hot tub (though it was salt water which made it rather uncomfortable to swim properly) and all the space to just lounge and relax. The freestyle dining was also perfect, we could eat anytime anywhere and not have to worry. With exception of the first port, it was nice to get off the ship and explore the area and the timings, daily schedules and maps and staff were great resources for planning our day!

Pros: There was always so much to do!

Cons: The prices of drinks.

Recommends Norwegian Sky? Yes!

Ship Quality
Everything was so clean and organized and the ship layout signs at every elevator made getting around so much easier!

Nassau, Bahamas
We didn't take any of the tours or anything but just explored the city by the port. It was really nice to just see a different city and do some shopping. They have a lot of name brand stores (MAC, Lacoste, Gucci, Chanel etc.) and then the local tourist stores as well. There's no beaches close by so again you would have to take a taxi or a tour which we decided not to do.
Don't Miss: Atlantis - though we didn't go we heard great things.
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
There was nothing to do at the port itself. You had to take a taxi into town to be able to go to the beach or any shops and restaurants. We were disappointed by that and also it was raining that morning and we weren't sure if it would be worth it. However its a good tourist area with lots of little shops if you just want to get off the ship and wander like we did.
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
Getting off the ship on to another boat to go to the island was incredible! It was so amazing to just be in the middle of the ocean. The island itself was beautiful with lots of chairs and space for relaxing and beautiful waters and sand. The staff was also great coming around to offer drinks and the bbq right on the island was nice just considering you didn't have to go far to get food. We didn't do any of the activities (snorkeling, kayaking etc.) and had a great time at this port.
