Hidden Charges

Sail Date: January 03, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship was nice and the food was ok, but we (everyone on the ship) got charged a "service charge" of $12 per person per day. We were only told about this the day before we got back. The money was to be distributed to the workers on the ship even though they get and automatic 15-18% tip everytime youjbuy something.

Pros: Private Island

Cons: The Hidden Charges

Recommends Norwegian Sky? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
The food was average for a cruise ship. The good food resided in the areas you have to pay a cover charge of $20 per person to eat.
Cabin / Stateroom
The rooms were nice and clean.
Service and Staff
Very friendly staff
Entertainment
About average
Nassau, Bahamas
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
Great Stirrup Cay was awesomne, but the island is under construction to add more beach areas and more attractions. If you go, get there early so you can get a nice chair otherwise you will be laying on your towel the whole time.
Freeport, Grand Bahama Island
