Concerns of the cruise

Sail Date: March 06, 2009

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

We have been on a number of cruises, but never on the "free style" type of cruise of this NCL 3 day Bahama cruise. Possibly that is the reason we felt the dining room service was not up to the quality that we have seen in the past on cruises where there was definite time and table assignment for the evening dinner. The waiters were curteous and they did a fine job, but it was not exceptional. We would prefer to tip our server directly and in proportion to the service rendered.

Also, I would shy away from cruises during "Spring Break". We had partying going on in the hallway by our stateroom at 3:30 in the morning. There was a young crowd on the ship and we realize they wanted to have a good time but it was somewhat at the expense of the older crowd.

Pros: Rooms, entertainment

Cons: Dining Room service was just OK.

Recommends Norwegian Sky? No.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
Nassau, Bahamas
We prefer to either get on the local buses and see where they take us or hire a cab by the hour and just tour.
