Enjoyable Cruise

Sail Date: January 01, 2010

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

The ship itself is beautiful with lots of activities and entertainment. Free style cruising is available on the Norwegian Cruise Line which means you can eat when you want and wear what you want at most of the restaurants. I love this!

Pros: Visiting Atlantis on Paridise Island, Bahamas

Cons: Fitness center staff - wasn't very good

Recommends Norwegian Sky? No.

Service and Staff
Almost everyone greeted us with a hello in passing. Staff was very helpful when we had questions. Sometimes at reception, there was a long line, but you could always comeback later.
We saw a variety show and a musical performance on the main Stardust stage. We missed the comedy routine, but heard he was extremely funny. There were so many activities from ping pong, practicing your golf at the netted driving booths, basketball, volleyball, the pool, spa, gym to workout, a kids movie, BINGO everynight, duty free shopping, a casino, to night clubs and dancing. You could be at a modern disco or dancing to Sinatra.. There was so much variety. Our favorite was attending the art auction and gallery. There were two auctions and raffles where one could win a beautiful piece of artwork.
Ship Quality
The ship was well organized and very clean. Hand sanitizers were at the entrances of every restaurant.
Food and Dining
Free style diniing where you can eat when and where you want on board. We just love this. There was a lot of variety from sit down restaurants, buffett style and the occasional BBQ. Oh yes, if you paid a minimal cover charge you had the option of eatting specialized items such as French, Italian, or at a Steakhouse.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a inside room with a queen bed. This was comfortable for the two of us. Our room was centrally located so it was easy to get to the various venues onboard. When there was nothing to do or if we wanted a break, we could watch TV in the privacy of our room. The housekeeping staff was always there to assist us if we needed something like a hairdrryer, laundry bag, or a mini-bar explanation.
