The NCL 'SKY' is a beautiful ship. While it is a large ship and offers many different entertainment options, it is not too large so you get lost. There are many dining options available, although the menu stays the same in the sit-down restraunts. The food was good, and plentiful. The staff were always willing to accommodate any request.

Food and Dining

The specialty resteraunts had the better quality food, as can be expected, but the regular resteraunts were also good. The menu didn't vary much for the 2 sit-down resteraunts, but the buffet offered many options at every meal. There were buffetts and snacks offered constantly. With Free-Style cruising, the dining rooms were open at all times so we could chose when to eat, early or late, and this was a wonderful option!

The comedien on board was amazing! He showed up at different venues for various shows and really made the trip fun! THe cruise director as well was very fun! There were many options available every night, from crazy loud dance parties, ( and a TOGA party!) to mellow jazz music played in a darkened lounge!

Ship Quality

Very clean ship, the rooms were kept clean and towles fresh.Empty glasses and dishes were constantly removed and tables cleaned.

Cabin / Stateroom

We chose a 'handicapped' accesible room, and it was HUGE! There were only 2 of us, but we had plenty of room in our 'Inside' room. The beds were firm, but we were so exhausted at the end of the day we never noticed!

Beautiful Island, this is a great 'Beach Day'. There's not much else to do except sit around, snorkle and swim and watch other people!

We went to the 'shoping tips' event on the ship prior to shopping and made the rounds for our 'free' jewlery. Inexpensive stuff that made a good souvenier for the kids. While the say how great a deal the jewlery is, I found the quality of the settings not to be of a high standard. Unless you really know your jewlery, don't get pressured into buying at these places. We didn't dare eat anywhere in town, so no comment about the food!
Don't Miss: If you want to have your hair braided, make sure to barter a price! There is no set fee so chances are the ladies will take whatever amount you offer.

Pros: Free-Style Cruising is the Greatest! Eatting wherever and whenever you want allows you the freedom to come and go as you please.

Cons: The added cost of drinks. Read the fine print to see if the gratuities are included. Which they usually are!

Recommends Norwegian Sky? Yes!
