Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

There was a cover for 4 of the restaurants and then there were high charges once you were there for appetizers, seafood and drinks. So you would pay 20$ a piece to go and then pay for the food on the menu.
In the main dining hall the food was always very slow and cold. It seemed like they didn't want you there. They tried to push us to the other paying restaurants the first night of the cruise.
We had not been away with out the kids for 5 years and on the second night we were so put off we found ourselves wishing we were back home.
It was freezing inside and hot outside, I had the heat on in our room. We ordered at the bar and 40 minutes later I asked if the food would be coming out soon (wings and fries) and they looked at me like I was crazy. They hadn't put the order in. The bar didn't show the Pittsburgh play off game. The buffet has few choices and the last night it was all curry dishes and some pasta. We heard other couples joking about the first cruise they may have lost weight on. The internet connection was advertised but then when we saw that it was 75 cents a minute on our own lap top we passed. Room service seemed agitated that we were calling. Juice and tea were included and they watered down the juice and the tea was super strong. I love ice tea and I could not drink it. This was our first cruise and we were so excited to go. The other couples on board were very friendly. Next time I am sure we will just go to a resort and skip the rocky boat and rude service.

Pros: the private Island, our room attendant, the Del Sol shop, comedian

Cons: the food, the service, the reservations desk not speking much English, nickle and diming us at every turn, the bingo was a rip off.

Recommends Norwegian Sky? No.

Food and Dining
The ice cream was good, the food in one dining room the first night was good. The rest of the time it was cold, over fried or just yucky.
Service and Staff
Except for our room attendant, every one was either rude or spoke very little English.
Entertainment
The person running the shows Mr Peach was sarcastic and each of the activites we did they were trying to get you to buy more and they didnt tell you the costs up front. We bought a 60$ bingo package (after being told on the loud speaker it was free) and then there was only 1 $200 winner. We didn't care if we wont but, all that for one winner and they didnt even pay that person much. It was a rip off. And they wanted you to spend that much each day of the cruise. Then the last day we went to the game room to play Scrabble and a guy came in and said "You need to leave, we need this space" not please, or why but get out. They needed to distribute the liquor that people bought from the duty free shop. They were just rude.
Ship Quality
cheesy but, the outside was pretty. The floor was sticky in the dining room. The little library and game room were nice.
Cabin / Stateroom
very small but, the movies were good and it was comfortable.
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
It was warm and the corral was neat, walking to the lighthouse was fun. The water was freezing but, people were snorkeling. The BBQ was ok, better than the ship food and the fruit was good. The cole slaw was gross.
Don't Miss: The water and the light house walk, just laying on the beach
Nassau, Bahamas
Del Sole shop, Atlantis resort are great. I wouldn't do the pirate museum tour.
Don't Miss: Atlantis Resort
